Trivia: Co-writer/Director Jason Reitman stated that if George Clooney had passed on the role of Ryan Bingham, he would have rewritten the part for Steve Martin. Reitman claimed that the movie would have become “much like Lost in Translation (2003) was for Bill Murray.”

Goofs: Errors in geography: The shuttle bus for the Miami Airport Hilton does not cross any bridges (in this case MacArthur Causeway) going from the airport to the hotel. Hotel only provides complimentary shuttle to/from airport, not nearby destinations
